We have been making biltong and boerewors for almost 25 years. Roy Wagenheim & Paul Hirsch, co-owners of 4Biltong.com, both are from South Africa, wanted to offer biltong & boerewors to the large South African community located here in the USA. Although a popular product amongst South Africans, Americans (once they are introduced to it), have also enjoyed the taste and flavor of this South African delicacy.
Roy Wagenheim was born and raised in South Africa, a true “Capey.” And ever since he can remember, he has enjoyed the unique flavors of authentic biltong and boerwors. In 1987, at the age of 29, Roy moved his family to Houston, TX and brought with him the taste for South African specialties he had been cultivating since birth. For almost 25 years Roy worked to master and perfect his recipes for biltong and boerwors. Many thanks must be given to countless tasters in the Houston South African community. The result of these years of work is the product we sell here - an authentic, savory South African delicacy that can be enjoyed by South African and American meat lovers alike.
Paul & his family immigrated to Houston in 1997 from Durban. When he first moved to the US, he was always looking for a source for the best biltong & boerewors. This led him to hook up with Roy and develop 4Biltong.com. Paul's background is IT & marketing & heads 4Biltong.com's web development & marketing.
